**General Description**
LOCATION: HOME OFFICE ILLINOIS/CHICAGO Responsible for pre-sale design and engineering support for large and/or complex Wireless Enterprise or Carrier network infrastructure sales to major accounts. This position offers a unique opportunity to use your existing technical skills and advance those skills to create innovative customer network designs using our technically advanced end to end wireless broadband network architecture. This is a fully proficient individual contributor role.
* Provides the sales team with expert technical support in the pre-sales process and creates compelling technical solutions in order to help achieve the assigned sales goals and business objectives.
* Translates and communicates complex technical design considerations between the sales team and prospective customers on sales calls and appointments.
* Evaluates, validates, creates diagrams, and presents the design of technical solutions to customers.
* Takes the lead in technical Q/A with customers for Samsung's Wireless Enterprise or Carrier infrastructure products (core and access), applications and professional services.
* Works across multiple levels within client organization. Works with internal groups to facilitate and validate their complex designs.
* Provides ongoing technical support to customers requiring scalability and growth in their network and consulting on CPE and configurations when needed.
* Ensures the technical information and products sold support customer requirements and lead to successfully installed products and services.
* Provides technical sales training for branch and regional sales team.
* Establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence as a subject matter expert.
* Responsible for routine or standard technical problems and responds to standard requests from internal and external customers.
* Makes decisions within guidelines and policies. Is accountable for the contributions of the project sub-team.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
Background /Exp Bachelor's Degree with 12-15 years of directly related experience is required. In depth knowledge of 3G and 4G, Carrier wireless infrastructure equipment and technologies Technical sales skills, communication skills and presentation skills. Prior direct customer contact in a high technology, network or telecommunications environment experience preferred. Self-directed contributor with ability to coordinate other resources in a matrix environment across Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Manufacturing. Must be able to write, read, analyze, interpret, present and explain technical product and development materials. Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite and extensive use of presentation software within a Windows/NT LAN/WAN network environment. Necessary Skills/Attributes: The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects, sales and simultaneous performance objectives. Work independently in determining ones personal work schedule to be productive. Work in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team project milestones and to complete assignments within established time frames. Accept tasks and problems/situations that differ, requiring creativity to search for optimal solutions, when only broad and general guidelines exist for solving problems. The ability to utilize implied knowledge of task alternatives and to make spontaneous decisions using past experience and the guidance and/or successful experiences of others. Demonstrated ability to interact at multiple levels within customers organizations. Negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer directors, managers and staff with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations. Make professional technical sales presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience. Ability to achieve results within established time frames and requirements. Develop accurate proposals and designs to meet customer needs.
