This recruitment is for one full-time, seasonal - permanent, Senior Park Aide position for the Tahoma Gateway Area located in King County, Washington. The duty station for this position is at Nolte State Park located in Enumclaw, Washington.
The season dates for this position are March 1st through October 31st, yearly.

Duties
This position is essential to the state park's mission of operating, enhancing, and protecting our Parks' recreational, cultural, historical and natural sites. The Senior Park Aide will assist and contribute toward all aspects of park operations and will lead work responsibilities.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Lead Park Aides.
* Answer phones and provide information to the public.
* Maintain a basic understanding of CAMIS software and hardware (camper registration system).
* Clean and perform maintenance on campsites, picnic sites, park buildings, restrooms, trails and roads.
* Assist park staff in maintaining all facilities in a condition that operational, functional, clean in appearance and safe for the public and staff.
* Register campers, collect, sort, and count revenue; prepare bank transmittals and deposits.
* Educate the public about park rules and regulations, local events, activities, walks and talks, and historic information.
* Maintain monthly equipment and safety logs, fuel and oil logs, timesheets, and other administrative tasks.
Qualifications
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:**
* Twelve months of experience in building maintenance or grounds keeping, or performing semi-skilled/general carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing repair work.
**OR**
* Six months cumulative experience as a Park Aide or equivalent, or six months experience in a special employment program (WCC) with a parks agency. A combination of experience (WCC and Park Aide) may be used provided at least three months experience is as a Park Aide or equivalent.
**AND**
* A valid driver's license.
* Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
