Samsung Senior Engineering Manager, North American Display Organ
**General Description**
North America Display Office is seeking a talented individual with strong technical expertise to support the increase of sales of B2B display products, including Samsung Smart Signage and Samsung Indoor LED and Cinema LED, by providing engineering solutions support and solutions architecture. The successful candidate will be passionate about Digital Signage and Services with experience in digital signage consulting, LED sales engineering, software and applications, and with broad technical skills. Duties and Responsibilities:
* Act as subject matter expert on Samsung Indoor LED, Samsung Cinema LED as well as Samsung Digital Signage Solutions o Pre- sales engineering support for the North America sales subsidiaries, system integrators and/or end customers with Samsung Solutions o Support Samsung subsidiaries, System Integrators, and architects with solutions design for their digital signage projects o Consult integrators, architects, and end customers on best use of digital signage, LED, and Cinema LED applications o Support System Integrators and End customers to optimize the usage of Software solutions (customization/integration in their solution), which include Samsung MagicInfo Content Management Software and the new Tizen platform o Support engineering issues of SSSP, LED, LCD and other B2B display solution products in North America
* Provide timely proactive pre-sales engineering support to: o Samsung Sales Teams o North America Business Development Managers o Liaise with key industry partners in LED and Digital Signage market place and provide proactive market intelligence to HQ o Competition tracking and analysis in Digital Signage, Cinema and LED industry
* Attend and support Samsung and/or partner events
* Willing to work in setup and tear down of hardware LCD/LED videowall
* Frequent domestic/international travel may be required
* Candidate must be willing to work frequent additional hours beyond normal schedule in conjunction with Samsung teams located in Korea
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
* Must have good understanding of networking. Experience in multicast and VLAN a plus
* Subject matter knowledge of various OS, driver needs, content encryption and overall functionality, server client architecture and web based programming skills
* Programming to understand the scripts as well as familiarity with logging tools.
* Good understanding of control systems and protocols to control the systems remotely
* Experience in AWS is plus
* Must be passionate and have an in-depth knowledge of Digital Signage Solutions with strong emphasis on Direct View LED displays
* A degree in physical science, Computer Science/Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred. Relevant work experience is highly desired
* 5+ years of experience in sales engineering
* Technical background and interest in IT, Digital Signage and/or Display industry
* Excellent presentation, people, communication (both in oral and written) skills
* Proactive, flexible and adaptable personality
* Must have Business/Task/Project oriented mind set - must see tasks to completion
