**Public Health Advisor 3 - Lodging Health and Safety Specialist**
**The Opportunity**
The Office of Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) works to improve the health of people in Washington State by reducing and preventing human exposures to a variety of environmental hazards and diseases associated with the treatment and disposal of wastewater, the food we eat, the schools our children attend, and the places we recreate and overnight.
As the **Lodging Health and Safety Specialist**, you will serve as an expert in transient accommodation facility (hotel/motel) inspections and complaint investigations, and may be a lead worker for other health inspectors. You will have the opportunity to evaluate the physical environment for safety and health issues. Issues are determined by interviewing facility staff and occupants; and by reviewing facility documents, policies and procedures.
**Choose your work location!**
You may have the option to work remotely from home; or at our offices in Tumwater and Shoreline.
